WHO WE ARE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
We are IBO Italy, historical ONG born in 1957, and our national head office is in Ferrara.
Our international cooperation projects witness the commitment for social progress.
Thanks to our international dimension, we face new realities and people every day. Tolerance is said to be the target to reach for a quiet life. We don’t think so, we believe tolerance is not the aim of peacefully living together, but respect and valorisation of differences. In fact tolerance implies the superiority of those who tolerate compared to those who are tolerated.
Our aim is to make the time we live together, in every group we are and act in, a quality time and therefore we decided to promote wellbeing through a culture founded on the values of respect, simplicity, creativity and courage.
Respect for the environment and for the others, different from you
Simplicity and immediacy in communication
Creativity, that flourishes when people feel among peers and move nimbly in a complex environment, and that stimulates the emergence of knowledge.
Courage to imagine and realize alternative, innovative and possible choices.
HOW WE DO IT
Work camps are the space and the time suitable to live these values daily. Facing unexpected situations, unusual when compared to our “ordinary” activities and without definite roles, makes us strangers in a group of strangers. This way, the activity we do together allows us to find out new roles and unexpected identities and the birth of new knowledge.
Creating something material in a group, and sharing the target reaching, facilitates the birth of consciousness that connections in an organization are not fixed and unique but a dynamic, fluid and infinite combination of possibilities.
Working in a natural environment, in the open air, and reaching a tangible target, that is not directly quantifiable yet and apparently not linked to core business, contributes to empower the Corporate Social Responsibility.
WHY WE DO IT
Because we will work on Team Building, on Cooperation (team work), on Knowledge Management, on Communication, on Creativity, on Trust Building, on harmonizing Corporate Social Responsibility and Competition.
Moreover, because we will contribute directly to the development of IBO Italy projects.
COMMUNICATION
The project will be communicated through IBO Italy Press Agency to all national and international partners in our network (organizations, associations, public institutions, private partners) and to national and local media.
